As a young couple with a three year old, we found Kos to be perfect for our needs. We like All Inclusive Holidays and Kos was perfect. It is a beautiful Island with superb beaches, culture, nightlife and peaceful quiet getaways. Having travelled to many of the Greek Islands we believe Kos to be one of the nicest and most picturesque. With cheap buses, car and cycle hire it is easy to travel around the Island and experience the historical sites, idyllic beaches and remote villages. Kos Town is a lovely, busy town with lots of shops, tavernas and a charming harbour offering many different boat trips. The imposing medieval Castle of Neratzia and the ancient Roman ruins scattered through the town are worth exploring. For a great family day out, we recommend the water park in Mastichari which is the largest in the Aegean. Our three year old loved it and there are rides/slides suitable for all ages. Kardamena is the best place to head for nightlife; its streets are packed with karaoke bars, English pubs and strobe-lit clubs. Psalidi is a beautiful area to explore. Although the area is mainly occupied by Kos all inclusive hotels there are lots of small local tavernas which provide excellent local cuisine and traditional Greek entertainment. We hired a car for half the week and there are some great beaches and scenery to be found. Alternatively, bikes are widely available to hire. We enjoyed riding into Kos Town one afternoon and to a remote beach. We can’t wait to return for our next Holidays to Kos and would highly recommend to all families and couples as there is something for everyone to enjoy.
